More than 49 years in the business

Summer Place is the brainchild of Yvonne de Bruin. She started off as De Bruins Caterer’s in 1972. Her tasty “boerekos” soon became legendary and before long she catered for the majority of functions for East Rand municipalities, schools and even at private homes. Yvonne started Summer Place in 1992 and she and her family run the business with the help of dedicated staff that have been with them for many years. “Our first priority is putting the customers needs first” says Yvonne. This venue with its pretty English country gardens has grown in popularity and success over the past 49 years and has been the dream venue for many couples who have said their “I do’s” there. Summer Places Specializes in weddings, conferences, corporate functions, braais, birthdays, christenings and more.
De Bruins Caterer’s also does functions at other venues or in the comfort of your own home. Enjoy your special function in our immaculate gardens or beautiful venues with menus that cater for all your needs. There is secure parking, a generator and air-conditioning throughout. We can assist with flowers, music and approved exhibitors to make your function unique.

Serve a Delicious Sunday Lunch Buffet’s

Our Sunday Lunch is a full buffet of 100 dishes consisting of starters, main course, a carvery comprising of various cuts of meat and mouth-watering desserts.

The buffet currently costs R290.00 pp. 
From end of April tea & coffee will be an additional cost of R20 per cup
